Creative Generalist, Focused on Video Editing & Motion Design
My Design Principles
1. Audience First: Every project begins with the viewer. Before I edit a single frame, I make sure I understand the target audience — their goals, their problems, and the kind of content they usually watch. This context shapes every creative decision: pacing, style, color palette, music, and animation choices. If the video doesn’t resonate with the viewer, it doesn’t matter how good the animations are. Viewer comes first.
2. Simplicity Over Complexity Less is more. I avoid cluttered visuals, unnecessary effects, or trendy animations that distract from the story. Great editing isn’t about showing off the new AE trick you just learned, it’s about clarity. Knowing when to add an effect is just as important, if not more as knowing when not to use one. Clean, purposeful design keeps the focus on the message, not the medium.
3. Story as the Anchor: No matter the format, I treat every project like a story. Cuts, transitions, and design elements should all serve the narrative flow. Cool motion graphics aren’t the key to viewer engagement, story is. That's why I try to get myself involved in the scripting process as early as possible: an ounce of effort in pre-production is worth a pound in post.
